Yes it was a beautiful one, I also was out taking pictures of the sunset last night, don't like to admit that the smoke in the valley does add a nice "filter" to the sun...
What a beautiful picture. I hope you are doing okay after visiting your granny's home. The school your mom started sounds great and I bet she would love how it has grown. I know what you mean about going back to your home town and it not feeling like home any more. A dear friend of my MIL has fallen ill and not expected to make it through the next 24 hrs. Life can be hard some times. Enjoy those sunsets!

So sad about the house though....I know what you feel, my mom is about to sell our cabin where I practically grew up, our family has owned it for 40 years. can't stand it but she can't keep it because her new hubby has another one that they're reconstructing. Ours is a ruin by now, nobody is taking care of it. But I love it. So many beautiful memories from my childhood...

Yep I am a 1st time Gramma and ya know we are the worst. lol Little pieces and bits of life in Oregon, where we of course feel like it is our small preview of Heaven.
